About This Game

Loving Life is a short, non-fictional autobiographical visual novel created by Zhenghua Yang (Z), the founder of Serenity Forge. Originally released in 2012, the game is based on a real-life experience that nearly cost Z his life and changed the way he looked at life, family, and the people around him.

At the age of 18, Z was a normal college student dealing with studies, family pressure, and the opinions of his friends. Everything changed near the end of his first semester when he suffered a serious 14-hour nosebleed and was left with only a few hours to live.

The game tells Z’s story through memories, conversations, dreams, and personal thoughts. It takes players through his past, present, and uncertain future while showing how one life-changing event affected him.
