Bacterium

About Game

Bacterium is a unique artificial life simulation where players create microscopic organisms and watch them evolve inside a living petri dish. Instead of directly controlling characters, you design creatures with different body parts and abilities, then observe how they hunt, survive, reproduce, and adapt through natural selection.

Players can customize organisms using a pixel art editor and equip them with components such as spikes for attacking, flagella for faster movement, receptors for detecting nearby life, and membranes for defense. Each organism is controlled by an evolving neural network that changes over generations, allowing creatures to develop new behaviors as they compete for survival. Every experiment creates a different ecosystem where organisms learn to hunt, escape predators, and reproduce on their own.

Personal Experience

I enjoyed playing Bacterium because it offers a unique blend of creativity and science. Designing my own organisms and watching them evolve without direct control was both relaxing and fascinating.

My favorite part was experimenting with different body parts and seeing how each change affected survival. Every new generation behaved differently, making each simulation feel fresh and unpredictable.

The evolving AI, creative customization, and dynamic ecosystems kept me engaged throughout every experiment. Overall, Bacterium is a great simulation game for players who enjoy evolution, strategy, and creative sandbox experiences.
