About This Game
Mars Base is a space exploration and farming simulation game where you take part in humanity’s mission to establish a permanent colony on Mars. You play as an interstellar botanist whose main responsibility is to grow food and transform the harsh Martian environment into land where crops can survive.
Your adventure takes place at Mars Base, located in the Erebus Montes region of Mars. The colony starts as a small outpost, but more colonists arrive over time, bringing new skills and expertise. Your work helps the base grow and eventually develop into a larger extraterrestrial settlement.
Agriculture is at the center of the experience. Martian soil is barren and potentially toxic, so you must use resources, research, crafting, and different farming tools to create suitable growing conditions. You can build modular planters, manage greenhouses, grow different crops, and use autonomous robots to make farming more efficient.
The game also lets you explore the dangerous Martian surface and underground areas. Dust storms, mountains, caves, and mysterious underground locations can provide valuable resources and discoveries. These resources can be used to craft tools, supplies, and equipment for the colony.
